https://pin.it/6YwPM8J Pen in my hand, words in my heart. A glimmer of love, And dust of hope. In white sheets, I write. A poem not as lovely as a tree. A line about love. A stanza about none. What shall I write? My words do not rhyme. Bulb lights appear, But none still matter. I wrote a poem, just to acknowledge that I write.

© weheartit Dear younger self, I am your 24 years old self. Not too old, neither too young, but has known the world quite long to understand it. My dear self, you are at the peak of your youth. You are full of enthusiasm and passion, and I hope that you will treasure this. Because when you are older enough, you'll lose every bit of it. You'll feel lost and unmotivated, but that's okay. Besides, sometimes it's okay not to be okay. Take your time to find what you have lost even though we only have limited time here on earth. Remember that as long as you are alive, you have as many chances as you can. But my dear self, don't dwell too much on the dark. Find the light. Laugh and Live. Appreciate the sunshine after the rain. Listen to raindrops. It tells you the secrets of the world, and it teaches you how to love. Love even though sometimes it breaks you. Love even though it hurts. Love with a patient and understanding heart. My dear self, it is a marvelous experience...
Normalizing Gender Equality

Women and men are equal partners in the development of the nation. However, genders are pervasively stereotype. We can still hear some women say that the essence of being a women is being a mother, which they probably got from 1997 Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, while men are seen as providers. We are in the 21st century, yet the deep seated norms are still expressed and hand down from generations to generations. Could you believe that there are still some people who believed that women are nurturers, weak and inferior, while men are leaders, strong and superior? When in fact, women can be leaders and men can be nurturers. Gender norms in the past should be cancelled and we should start normalizing equality in gender. We should accept the new conformity that husbands are doing household chores while their wives are working, or men being feminine. Let's eradicate the imbalance in power relations that cause violence against women and girls, because women have a say on their ...

Have you ever wonder how did some couples made it to last long together? How they were able to keep the spark? It's a real big question for us especially in this days that social media plays a huge part in our lives. We often see advices posted on facebook or a thread in twitter about how to handle relationships, how to date, how to keep a man/woman, but are we able to apply it in our relationship or we just share it and have wishful thinking that our relationships will be like that? Being in a relationship is difficult for so many reasons (which obviously, you are aware of!), because it's not just all about love. Oh, the great love! Relationships must also be build with trust, honesty and patience, although these things are hard to earn and to practice, especially nowadays that everyone seems to be broken and shattered. Some people are afraid to trust and to open up. They have built walls higher than the walls of the north, because someone had broken their trust many times, an...

It's raining and so her eyes, wrapping herself with a blanket to warm her grieving heart. Her hands shaking - hoping you'll hold it 'til the end. She whispered in the dark for you to come back, but you are long way gone. She's in the dark again, but you never care. You told her it's nothing - but honey, it's not. Why deny she's in pain? She's asking for your help, but what did you tell her? "It's not a cry for help, but only seeking attention." So now, blood runs no more in her veins. The blanket she wraps around is soak in red and rust... It's too late now, she has said her goodbyes.
What's it like to be me?

I am not okay - even how many times you say I will be. You also told me not to overthink, but I wish you have told me instead how not to. You even told me I was not trying hard to be optimistic, but you never know what's it like to be me. You don't know what's it like to have unstable emotions; what it's like to feel to be in the dark and cold, neither the feeling of being lost and empty. I always wish I am like anybody else, whose smiles are genuine, and emanating sunshine. I wish I can walk into the field of flowers without being scared that it might wither when I touch it. You don't know how scared I am to be me. I am scared that any minute I will snap and hurt myself. I am scared to lock myself inside the cabinet just to atone for being me - a disappointment to my family and friends. If only you know how scared I am to be left alone, because I know when I am by myself, I might not be able to see the sky again, for I will repeatedly break my wings. I never wish ...
